Aligning Higher Education with Sustainability Goals
Lector: Zuzana Palkova
This course offers an essential introduction to the Bologna Process and its role in shaping high-quality, internationally compatible higher education systems. Participants explore the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), mutual recognition of qualifications, the three-cycle study structure (BA–MA–PhD), ECTS credits, quality assurance standards, and the Diploma Supplement.
The session also connects Bologna principles with current sustainability priorities under the European Green Deal, demonstrating how transparency, mobility, and academic cooperation support long-term development in agritourism, food systems, and environmental education. The course equips participants with practical knowledge needed to align their institutions with European standards while addressing local needs in the Pacific context.
